Common questions about cabeazy — how the subscription works, licensing, payments, pause, onboarding, and the cooperative model. Click any to expand.
For Drivers
A valid PHV (Private Hire Vehicle) licence from your local council, a licensed vehicle, and appropriate insurance. We verify all documents before activation.
£50/month flat. No commission on rides, ever. Pause anytime at the end of the month — £0 while paused.
No. £50/month is the total — that's it. cabeazy isn't VAT-registered, so there's no VAT to add. No setup fee, no joining fee, no surprises.
Yes. Pause at the end of any month — £0 while paused, no minimum, no penalty. Take a holiday, take a season off. We'll be here when you're back.
Yes — delete from the app at any time. Your subscription ends immediately, your personal data is removed in line with our privacy policy, and you keep your earnings to date. If you just want a break, pause is the better option — your account stays active and £0 while paused.
We verify your PHV licence, insurance, and DBS check before activation — usually within a few working days. Once you're approved, your subscription starts and you can drive immediately.
Passengers pay through the cabeazy app. We pay you out the full fare — 100%, no commission deducted — every Wednesday for the previous Monday–Sunday week, straight to your bank account. Your flat subscription is collected separately via GoCardless Direct Debit.
Your office covers your subscription while you're working under them — you pay nothing to cabeazy directly. Use the "working as" toggle in the driver app to switch between office and private (passenger-app only) modes. In private mode, the standard £50/mo applies. You can be affiliated with more than one office and choose which one is dispatching you on any shift.
Yes. You're either working as office-dispatched (jobs come from the office's queue, the office covers your sub) or private (jobs come from the cabeazy passenger app, you pay £50/mo personally). One toggle, one mode at a time, switch as often as you like.
For Passengers
Pay in the app — same as any ride-hailing platform. The difference: cabeazy pays your driver 100% of the fare, with zero commission deducted, so they can afford to do the job properly.
Yes — add a tip in the app after any ride. 100% of every tip goes to your driver, every time. Tipping is always optional — your driver still keeps 100% of the fare either way.
No. We match market rates — same fares you'd pay on Uber or Bolt. The difference: drivers keep all of it, so they can afford to do the job properly.
All drivers are licensed PHV operators verified by their local council. We verify licences, insurance, and DBS checks before any driver goes live on the platform.

For Cab Offices
£30/driver/month, billed to the office. More than Autocab or iCabbi charge for dispatch software alone — but cabeazy bundles inbound passenger demand from the cabeazy app, something they can't sell at any price because they don't have a passenger channel.
Two reasons. First, the office handles its own driver onboarding, vehicle verification, and day-to-day support — work cabeazy would otherwise do for direct drivers. Second, volume — bringing 10+ drivers in at once justifies a meaningful B2B discount. Drivers in your office still get the full cabeazy experience; the office covers their access.
No. While a driver is working under your office, the £30/driver/month you pay covers their cabeazy access — they pay nothing directly. The £50/mo personal sub only applies to drivers in "private" mode (no office affiliation, working passenger-app only).
Yes — drivers use a "working as" toggle to switch between office mode and private mode. In office mode you dispatch them; in private mode the cabeazy passenger app dispatches them. One mode at a time. Drivers can also affiliate with more than one office and pick who's dispatching them per shift.
Dispatch board with live driver pins, driver app for every affiliated driver, inbound jobs from the cabeazy passenger app, reports, payouts. Pause anytime — £0 while paused.
Apply via the signup form. We verify your PHV operator licence with your local council, then email you a login. Usually within a few working days. You then invite your drivers from the operator portal — they accept on their phone and start dispatching.
